…totally transformed the Southwest Corridor of Boston

“A good deal of the credit should to Paul for this very successful Urban Development Project. He integrated the diverse soft engineering and planning disciplines with the hard engineering and construction work which totally transformed the Southwest Corridor of Boston. The qualities that Paul brought to the Boston assignment included good communication skills, self-starter, skill in assembling and leading diverse professional staff drawn from many companies, a passion for his work, and good business and engineering fundamentals gained earlier in his career.”

Senior Vice President, DeLeuw Cather Washington, D.C.

Establish the Facts. Uncover the Gaps. Effectively Lead the Project to Complete Resolution.

That’s the Right Way to fix construction project issues I referred to above.  That’s how I corrected:

  • the big projects – single projects like the Southwest Corridor of Boston (worth over 1.1 billion dollars decades ago)
  • the tough projects – 1 year behind schedule, complicated, required bringing several different fractured teams back together
  • the uncertain projects – companies brought me in to understand what was happening on their job site

and delivered outstanding results for some of America’s largest cities, corporations, and the United States government for over 30 years.

Download my Curriculum Vitae or just read the overview below for more details.  You’ll learn more about how I reversed delays and brought projects in on-time and under budget.

When dollars are being lost every minute, you only want to call on someone with the extensive real world experience and skills to get your construction project on track.

On your first site visit you identified the problem and recommended a workable solution to the problems associated with this project. During your second visit, on your recommendation the owner agreed to remove the Construction Manager and replace him with a C.M. that we were able to work with. This project was one year behind schedule when Paul was hired by his former supervisor at General Electric (then a Disney Vice President) to oversee this monumental design-build project consisting of 287 modular hotel rooms constructed off site and suspended on inclined cables inside an eight story steel frame structure. By insisting that the architect (Welton Becket) bring his chief designer on site with 2 of his staff full time, the many issues of contention were eliminated so the project could accelerate.

Paul then directed a crew of 1200 men working 24/7 the last 3 months, the project was completed early and came in 1 million under budget.
